Each year a comprehensive Annual Report is published which presents highlights of the year with photographs of our speakers and recipients of our Annual Awards and our many activities. We also acknowledge our Members & Sponsors, who are helping to create our “hometown history museum.”

ABOUT US:

The Pine Castle Historical Society was created in 2014 to preserve the history of Pine Castle and South Orange County. Why is this important? Because Pine Castle predates Orlando and it was the breadbasket for that infant community.

PCHS works to Preserve, Restore, Archive, Publish, Envision, and Educate. Thanks to Ann and Larry White’s donation of land, PCHS was able to rescue the Crawford House, which is now being restored as an ADA compliant structure. This historic 1919 house will become the Pine Castle History Museum. It is scheduled to open by 2023-2024.

PCHS is working with Orange County to conceptualize the future of the Pine Castle Community. This is beginning with the beautification of Wilks Ave (where the Museum is located). Orange County has added 5′ wide sidewalks on both sides of the street. They will also plant shade trees.

The Pine Castle Historical Society is registered as a 501(c)3 organization.
